Film Review: Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned
Starring Lawrence Fishburne, Bill Cobbs, Natalie Cole, Cicely Tyson, and Daniel Williams, “Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned” is a favorite of mine.
It’s the story of a complicated man, Socrates Fortlow, who’s seen and done some dirt, but wises-up with time and experience. Along for the wisdom ride are other men — older and younger — and some lovely women, some unsavory ones, too.
The acceptance of both personal and communal responsibility are prominent motifs that I love here. I hope you like it, too.
I almost forgot: I give it a 4.75/5. The talent of Daryl’s antagonist (watch the movie) leaves much to be desired.
Would I watch it, again? Yep. I’m watchin’ it right now, as a matter of fact.
